I read that a long time ago, and still aspire to it. I can admit, I fail a lot of days! But when something needs doing, I often ask myself why not now, and start.
And surprisingly, that's how motivation works. Not with the inspiration to act driving action, but action driving inspiration. Greg Wells, Ph.D. can tell you all about that!.
So, those that know me well, know I am quite clumsy, somewhat uncoordinated and absolutely terrible at Home Improvement projects. I have been relegated to tea-making duties on many a job! But my wife needed to convert a room to a nursery for our soon-to-arrive granddaughter, so I spent the weekend breaking down my 5ft wide solid wood desk (I know, overkill) to move to the attic and building a crib. I can't tell you I suddenly got better at either job, but I promise you, once you start, you want to get the job done.
So take that hard job you've been putting off, ask yourself why not now this week and "Get 'Er Done" people!
